Yes, that’s very common. My daughter was born with a full head of dark (almost black) hair. Then a few weeks later she looked almost bald, it’s slowly coming back and now at almost 9 months her hair is still pretty thin and has gotten lighter, almost blonde. Most babies her age have enough hair to put it in pony tails, I think any kind of hair accessory (other than a headband) is a long time off for us
Yes its very common for babies to lose their hair. They can loose it from cradle cap, or just b/c they’re laying on it so much it just falls out. My son lost all his hair at the top of his head haha he looked like a little old man.
Now at 11 weeks its growing back and its the same color as the rest of his hair… Although some babies when their hair grows back its a completely different color and texture! I’m kinda glad my little mans hair stayed brownish red, I love it… its the only thing he got from his mommy
yeh its totally normal hun.. dnt worry.. the majority of babies loose alot of their newborn hair,it rubs off wen they sleep usually.. it will grow back,so dnt panic!
Yes, it is nothing you should be worried about. her body is changing like yours and the chemical make up and hormones that are running through her body as yours was during pregnancy. you will notice that her hair will come back and may even be a different color when it grows in.
My son was born with a TON of hair!!!! But he started losing it at around 2 months and he’s still losing it now… Funny thing is that his new hair is growing in as fast as the old hair is falling out… Except on the back of his head… He looks like he has a toupee on the top of his head and bald on the back, hahaha!
my daughter was born with a fairly full head of DARK long hair. I was shocked because both hubby and I have thin blond hair and were BALD at birth. I honestly couldn’t understand where she got her hair from. But a few weeks later it was pretty much all gone and when it FINALLY came back (shes almost 2 and its BARELY to her ears and back of neck) it was SUPER blond and very fine. she did pretty much a 180 and now its slowly comeing back. perfectly normal : ) good luck
its normal for your baby to lose their hair. you’ll notice it mostly in the places on their head where they sleep. if they sleep on their backs, the back of their head will have less hair, etc. It’ll grow back, dont worry
My little girl lost most of her hair that she was born with. I think for some reason a lot of babies who end up with lighter hair lose it. There doesn’t seem to be too many babies that are born with blond hair it is usually they lose the dark hair and it grows back lighter. This is what happenend with my little girl her hair grew back blond. I don’t know if this is definitely true but it is what i have heard and seen.
My son was born with A LOT of jet black hair & all of it fell out with the exception of a patch on the top of his head and at the nape of his neck.
He ended up needing a hair cut at 6 months because of the super long strands of hair that hadn’t fallen out (think of an elderly man with a terrible comb-over; that’s what his hair looked like!). It grew back in much lighter too.
It’s not only normal for a baby to lose their hair after birth, it’s normal for momma to lose a bit of hair too. It’s all about hormones regulating.
Lol…my son had a full head of hair when he was born, dark hair at that almost black. At about 2-3 months it started to fall out. He got completely bald! Now his hair is growing back in this little mohawk and his hair it light light brown almost a reddish! It’s so funny! Yes it’s common!
Yes - my son had quite a bit of hair and it just started falling out - he looks like a little old man! It’s just starting to grow back - he’s still so cute! My daughter was born with NO hair, except a tiny bit on the very back area - now that was odd! So, yes, it’s very common!
Yes! My son lost his hair and then grew it back and then lost it again! Hes 6 1/2 months old and he still has pretty thing hair with some random bald spots…poor baby!
